Biker Ned from Methil.

Designed this wee guy to model for 3D modelling. He's inspired by Shogo Akuji (Saints Row 2) and Kaneda (Akira) and in a way Squall from Final Fantasy 8. He's supposed to be a scottish 'gaijin' in a japanese bokozoku biker gang, so he looks kinda glaiket.

This is The Story of Denim Demon: Behind the Metalocalypse

I have a unit this semmester called Digital Story Telling where we have to tell a story digitally that subliminally advertises a ficticious denim company. This can be through video, animation, audio, websites video games or even things like Alternate Reality Games (things like sending people on GPS scavenger hunts and bluetoothing story clues to people on the bus)

We don't actually have to develop this media though we just propose the idea (if I go onto Honors Degree level I will have to build it though.)

My idea revolves around the story of a band called "Denim Demon" who come from a future where music is no longer a commodity so they plan to travel back in time to the 80's to play a mix of Heavy Metal/Glam/Stadium Rock and become massive.

Only they end up in 2000 and miss the boat. The story revolves around them trying to make it big.

Getting AHEAD with my 3D model

Well yeah ok I forgot to bring my pen-drive into college and ended up borrowing the tutors model but he was only a little bit further on than me (and had done a better job so far.) Anyway today I modelled the chin, forehead, jaw and side of the face.

Thunderhorse the SeaUnicorn

So I'm delving into Power Metal spliced with Punk Rock with The Defenestrators and today I wrote riffs for a song called "Thunderhorse the Sea-Unicorn. Found this image of what a Sea-Unicorn might look like by way of google image search. The idea I had in my head though was more of a Sea Horse with a horn whereas the one pictured above has legs and hooves.

Bannermans

The Defenestrators played their first Edinburgh gig tonight here at Bannermans. Dead Agenda were a no show so the sound engineer got up and gave us some Sinatra and other Jazz classics. We had a fantastic gig, given that the majority of the crowd had came from Dunfermline. Nearly every song the crowd gave us awesome energy, whether is was singing waaa-ooooh's in Ode to a T-shirt, motorboating each other during Motörbate or just going tits to This Town (since it's about Dunfermline we dedicated it to them). A New Hope were quite good too.

Show Face

So I have Intermediate 3D Modelling this semmester. Here I am building a 3D model of a face. It looks kind of crap so far. I use 2 planes, a front profile and a side profile and build the face using 2 viewports lining the polygons up to the planes. I think this face has Uma Therman's lips.

Lady Killers

Went to see Hipflask at PJ's. The were awesome apart from when they played Lady Killer and a cat fight broke out involving certain members of the band's girlfriends and they became distracted. They managed to fight past it though and play a rocking set!

Watched The Drawn Together Movie: The Movie at Sarah's. The entire movie is about the shows cancellation but I think it's cleverly done. Still think they deserve a few more seasons since it is funnier than Family Guy.

Bought myself a new Zoom G7.1ut as a late Christmas/early Birthday present. Fantastic pedal. You can't see from the photo but the patch name on the wee blue screen says "defenest" cause that's all the letters I could fit in. Shackled fits in fine though. :)
